Hardware Upgrade - IP Migration
By eugene | July 26, 2008
We continue the process of upgrading some of our older hardware for newer/faster and better. The next machines we plan to do this on are ESC55.midPhase.com and esc25.midphase.com. For the accounts we manage the nameservers for (dns1/2.midphase.com) it will be a smooth migration, for the domains mapped to the server IP addresses directly the changes will be required at the registry level. We’ll update this post with additional information about the new IP addresses mapping as we get the files migrated to the new machine.
UPDATE: the migration of esc25.midphase.com is completed. We’re performing the last synchronization of the files to make sure they’re up to date on the new machine. The DNS zones of the domains are repointed to the new server IP: 69.4.225.42
It’ll take about 4 hours to get the new zones entries to be propagated.
Please note, if you use your own nameservers or your domain’s pointed to the server IP directly (if we don’t control your domain namservers), you need to make sure you use “69.4.225.42″ as the A record for your domain(s).
