ESC35 :: Drive Replacement
By Chris Meisinger | January 13, 2008
ESC35 suffered a drive failure on it’s disk array. While the machine is fine and all data is intact, we will be rebooting the server in order to replace the failed drive. This will be occurring within the next hour.
The machine won’t have to be down long, just long enough to replace the drive and begin the array rebuild. The machine is expected to come up after about 5-10 minutes of downtime total.
If there are any unforeseen difficulties with this drive replacement, we’ll make sure to update this post with more information.
Edit: 12:15 AM CST :: The drive has been replaced and the disk array is rebuilding in the background. You may notice things slow down a little bit from time to time while this is rebuilding, however we expect this to finish within the next 2-3 hours. During this time all services are functioning as they should.
Thank you for your patience.
